Pakistani Prime Minister Seeks Strengthened Ties with Bangladesh

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed a strong desire to strengthen bilateral relations with Bangladesh, according to a statement from his office.

On Friday, Sharif held a telephone conversation with Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser to Bangladesh’s interim government, to congratulate him on his recent appointment. During the call, Sharif underscored the importance of revitalizing cooperation between the two countries across various sectors.

The prime minister highlighted the deep historical, cultural, and religious ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, emphasizing the need to boost economic and cultural exchanges. Both leaders agreed on the significance of closer collaboration for the mutual progress of their nations and the broader South Asian region.

Sharif also conveyed his condolences over the devastating floods that have recently impacted Bangladesh, expressing sympathy for those affected by the disaster.
