Turkey’s ASELSAN has announced a €118 million ($140 million) export deal with an international client to supply a defense system solution. The contract, which includes deliveries between 2020 and 2022, strengthens ASELSAN’s position in the global defense market.
Founded in 1975, ASELSAN is Turkey’s largest defense company and ranks among the top 100 defense firms globally. It provides a wide range of services, including design, development, production, and integration of defense technologies such as radar, electronic warfare, avionics, and military communications.
The company reported strong financial results for the first half of the year, with a profit of TL 1.8 billion ($221 million), marking its highest first-half profit. ASELSAN’s revenues grew by 13% to TL 5.2 billion, while gross profit surged 38%, and EBITDA increased by 35% to TL 1.3 billion.
ASELSAN continues to see strong demand, securing $511 million in new orders during the first half of 2020, despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic.
